Workshop on international research collaboration

After a successful kick-off meeting during the CINet conference in Valencia 2008, and the 1st CIYA workshop in Zürich in April 2009 - we would now like to invite you to attend the 2nd CIYA workshop to be held directly following the CINet conference in Brisbane on the 9th of September 2009.

The theme of this workshop is “international research collaboration” and will provide input on the topic from renowned scholar Professor Per Davidsson, as well as opportunities for discussing ideas for and setting up collaboration amongst the CIYA members.

The main aim of the workshop is to provide a platform for young academics to discuss and further develop ideas for research (papers/teaching/exchange programs etc.) through collaboration in an interactive and informal way.

davidsson Prof. Per Davidsson is Assistant Dean of Research in the Faculty of Business and Professor of Entrepreneurship within its School of Management. Per is especially known for his extensive research on start-up and growth of small firms as well as the job creation and societal well-being effects of those activities. Apart from many books, book chapters and research reports he has published over 40 peer reviewed articles in, e.g., Strategic Management Journal, Regional Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, Small Business Economics, Journal of Small Business Management, International Small Business Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Economic Psychology. He has also consulted for companies and international organizations.
