Workshop: Research project on Absorptive Capacity

At the CIYA workshop in Brisbane 2009 one of the common interests which was identified amongst several of the participants was the topic of how to conduct multilevel analysis of absorptive capacity in innovative firms. This sparked the interest of initiating a joint research effort on the topic.

We would therefore like to invite you to join this CIYA workshop with the aim of further developing the topic of multilevel research of absorptive capacity into a fuller research agenda, including central research questions, theoretical framework for analysis, data sources and methodology, possible venues for publication, and funding possibilities.

Two main traveling options exist to get to the University of Southern Denmark campus Sønderborg.

1. There is a direct train connection from Copenhagen to Sønderborg which takes about 3 hours. The train stops in front of the university building.

2. You can also fly from Copenhagen to Sønderborg which is often the cheaper alternative. The flights to Sønderborg can be booked via the following webpage: http://www.cimber.dk. The easiest way to get to your hotel or the campus Sønderborg from the airport is via taxi. Sønderborg taxi can be ordered from the free hotline at the airport entrance or via +45 74421818.
