Theme and Conference Tracks

The theme of the 9th CINet conference is "Radical Challenges in Innovation Management". The proposed tracks include:

Academic tracks

  1. Perspectives, paradigms and conceptual approaches to Continuous Innovation
  2. Innovation management in traditional industries
  3. Regional innovation systems, clusters and industrial networks
  4. Managing knowledge for continuous innovation
  5. Universities, triple helix and innovation
  6. The role of users in innovation, open innovation
  7. Continuous innovation in the service sector
  8. Entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship as sources of continuous innovation
  9. Continuous improvement in manufacturing and operations
  10. New product development and continuous innovation
  11. Marketing issues of innovative products and services
  12. Human resources issues in continuous innovation
  13. Management challenges in radical innovation

Industry Tracks

The presentations in this track will be PowerPoint presentations of which a résumé will be published in the conference proceedings. These will consist of innovation cases for industry and academia to learn or analyze, or challenges from industry that academic research could address. Possible themes may be related to:

  1. Human capital and innovation
  2. Challenges of managing knowledge (for example management of Intellectual Property)
  3. PET projects as sources of innovation
  4. Role of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurship in innovation
  5. Managing continuous innovation
  6. Management of radical change and innovation
  7. Building innovation capacity
