17th European Doctoral Summer School in Technology Management
Monday 5 February 2007, 15:00 - by: Petra de Weerd & Tauno Kekale |
From 17-24 August 2007 the
17th European Doctoral Summer School in Technology Management will be held in Enschede, The Netherlands. The theme of this year's Summer School is ‘Creativity and Innovation Management’, and the event will be hosted by the University of Twente, Netherlands.
The Summer School kicks off with a tutoring session by Abbie Griffin, directly focussing on this’ years theme: Innovation Interfaces. Abbie will take an NPD process perspective to the theme, looking at the 3 major transitions in NPD - from invention to project acceptance, from acceptance to implementation, and from implementation to launch, and reporting on her recent research on transitions from invention into project implementation. Two more sessions within the interfaces theme will address interfaces with marketing througout innovation processes, and university-industry interfaces. On the Sunday we introduce a more informal session, with ample attention for PhD thesis development and publication issues, and opportunities to laisie with 3 journal editors. Halfway through the Summerschool an excersion is planned to a high tech venture in the twente area. The second half of the week includes sessions on open innovation, global R&D management and Intellectual Property management and innovation Performance. During the SummerSchool, student presentations and discussions will be organised around clusters of topics based on students' own research areas, whereby students each will have a full hour to present and discuss their work to the group and one or more tutors.
Registration deadline: 15 June 2007
