From 9-13 September 2011 the 12th International CINet Conference was held in Aarhus, Denmark. Around 100 participants came to Aarhus this year and enjoyed the very good atmosphere at an extremely well organised and succesful conference.
One of the features of the CINet conferences is the John Bessant Best Paper Award, which was established in 1998. A committee, consisting of most of the board members went through all the papers presented at the conference. Taking into account the feedback they got from the session chairs and conference participants, they identified three outstanding papers.
The winners of the John Bessant Best Paper Award were Özge Cokpekin and Mette Præst Knudsen, with their paper Does Organizing Creativity Really lead to Innovation?
Runner up was the paper of Valentina Lazzarotti, Raffaella Manzini and Luisa Pellegrini, Protecting IP in the Era of Open Innovation: an Empirical Study in Italy.
