The School of Management and Governance offers undergraduate and graduate training in business and in the social sciences. The School focuses on management, governance, innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. In all these fields, the School provides bachelor, master and professional development programmes. In addition, scientific and applied research is carried out in various settings, such as health care, tertiary education, banking, and service business industries.
The School has approximately 350 staff and 2,200 students.
The Department of Operations, Organization and Human Resources is active in the research and teaching in the fields of Operations Management, Organization Studies and Human Resource Management. More specifically the focus is on the structure, development and management of organizations, especially in innovative organizations in technological environments. This results in a focus on the dynamic fit between the organization and its environment and on a strategic use of human and technological resources. Starting points are, among others, modern contingency, stakeholder and supply chain management approaches and structuration perspectives.
