Assistant Professor in Organisation Studies

The successful candidate will have completed or will be near the completion of her / his doctoral studies, and will need to show a passionate drive to become leading scholars in their own field. The candidate research and teaching activities should broadly revolve around the organization studies, including both the design of organisation’s activities and organizational behaviour. More specifically, the candidate’s research may be related to one of the following research topics: changing fabric of organizations; organizational design in distributed settings; knowledge management and IT architecture; digital innovation; critical organizational behaviour in emerging sectors.
This position provides emerging scholars with an excellent opportunity to develop and extend their research programs and teaching skills. The many resources that Assistant Professors can take advantage of at LUISS include: research collaborations, mentorship, a departmental speaker series, and a growing Doctoral Program. The successful candidates will join the Organisation and Innovation Group, composed of the following researchers: Luca Giustiniano, Howard Gospel, Kerem Gurses, Andrea Prencipe, Paolo Spagnoletti, and Richard Tee. The Group has recently launched a new research Centre on Leadership, Innovation, and Organisation (CLIO). Scholarly and curricular activities related to CLIO provide opportunities for corporate contacts, collaboration, intellectual stimulation, and possible data collection.
Teaching is in English. Candidates will supervise master dissertations and bachelor papers in their fields. Teaching assistants are also available. Funding for conference attendance is available. Appointments are full-time. The salary is competitive. The contract is 3 + 2 years. Starting date: Spring or Fall 2017.

Located in the hearth of Rome, the Department of Business and Management at LUISS University offers undergraduate and post-graduate programs in management-related fields. Primary areas of the Organisation and Innovation Group research include: corporate entrepreneurship; digital architecture and innovation; international human resource management; institutional theory; organizational learning and adaptation; organisational design; organising innovation; project-based organising; social capital and innovation.
